She lived throughout the Great Depression. She grew up into First Baptist Church, and gave her heart to the lord at the age of 11 years old and Baptized in a tank (pond of water) at Cotton Gin. She attended and loved her School Church and took part in all Activities. She couldn’t read music, but played the piano by ear.
She received her masters from the University of Southern California; she worked as a Teacher for the Unified School District throughout her life.
She married George Lee Rice in April of 1940. She was a member of the Eastern Star, and had a passion for Dancing and Travel (world).
She was survived by her son Lynn M. Rice, 5 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild; she was predeceased by her parents and son Ronald Gene Rice.
Funeral Arrangements will be held at 11:00a.m. December 7th 2016 at Mt. View Cemetery, San Bernardino, CA. 92404.
