David was born on December 18, 1962 in Phoenix, AZ. He was the sixth of seven children to Gabriel and Rafaela “Fili” Rodriguez. He is survived by his father, wife, Ricki, children, Krystyn (Eric) Guillen, Karina Rodriguez, Rachel (Stephen) Watson, Adam (Bridget) Carter, and Matthew (Ashley) Carter, his siblings, Gabe Rodriguez, Mary (Daniel) Mishodek, Thomas (Melanie) Rodriguez, Michelle Waterlow and Gabriela (Nathan) Thinnes. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother and siblings Ralph and Becky Rodriguez.
David learned construction as a teen and later co-founded a lath and plaster company. He loved to travel, listen to music, and was always living life to the fullest. He will be remembered for his easygoing spirit and generous heart, as well as his love of the Pittsburg Steelers. David was a proud father, loving husband, outgoing uncle, cherished brother, and witty friend. He taught his family to love one another and to never “sweat the small stuff". His mischievous smile left behind countless memories of joy and laughter. The song is ended, but the melody lingers on.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery. Rosary to begin at 3:30. Mass will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 at Our Lady of The Rosary Cathedral at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery.
