Christina Antje Cornelia Wong Si Kwie Williams, A women of Grace was born to Edmund Marius Hendrik Wong Si Kwie and Christina Wilhelmina Ver Kerke, February 22, 1934, in Amsterdam, Holland. She peacefully went to our Lord, September 28, 2010.
Christina started working at the age of thirteen to help support her family. She worked in various occupations, such as cashier in local shops, a line worker in the Droste Chocolate factory, and a carnival entertainer, stunning crowds by eating fire.
She met John Raymond Williams, a decorated member of the United State Air Force, now deceased, in Amsterdam, Holland, and married him on March 28, 1959.
Christina, John and their daughters Carolien moved to Alconbury, England, stayed for four years, then moved to San Bernardino, CA where John was stationed at George AFB. After five years they moved to Colorado Springs, CO. Following their one-year assignment they moved to Aviano, Italy where they lived for seven years. In 1975, Christina joined
John in Araxas, Greece where they spent a wonderful year experiencing the Mediterranean hospitality of the Greek people. They returned to the United States in 1976, and lived in New Mexico for five years. During this time, Christina was very active in bowling leagues and entered and won several state competitions.
Christina shopped until she dropped at home or abroad. She had a lifetime passion for traveling and made friends around the world. Some of the places she truly enjoyed are: Hawaii, Turkey, The Azores, Alaska, and Switzerland, just to name a few.
Christina cherished her Dutch heritage, and truly enjoyed conversing in her native language. Her favorite saying was "If it ain't Dutch, it ain't much."
Her favorite card games was Pinochle, she loved bingo, cooking, trying new recipes, and rooting for Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. But , what gave her the greatest joy was spending time with her loving daughter and best friend, Carolien.
She was known as fashionista amongst divas! She was always in style, vibrant, and demonstrated a joy of life that will be well remembered. During her three-year battle with cancer, she was the epitome of courage, strength, independence, and glamor. She was beautiful, even sporting a bald head. She fought to the very end, even refusing morphine when she needed it. She was resolved to leave this world with dignity in which she had lived.
Christina leaves a legacy of grace and a determination to live life to the fullest. She demonstrated how best to handle difficult challenge. She never complained about her illness, but always gave inspiration and told beautiful stories about her life and her travels. She will be forever missed.
Christina is survived by her loving daughter, Carolien Margaretha Christina Williams Jameson, her son-in-law, Virgil Lee Jameson Jr, two grandsons Michael Jason Jameson and Julien Ryan Jameson, Michael's wife Ellianna Reed Jameson, their daughters Maya Julianna,6, and Miranda Mae, 1. Julien's wife Gina Marie Jameson, their daughter, Samara Michelle Lamar, 7 months. Two loving sisters: Carla Wong Si Kwie, and Corrie Wong Si Kwie. Nephew: Edmund Wong Si Kwie. Nieces: Anouska De Leeuw, Antoinette, Anton and Carrie Goes, Nesta Wong Si Kwie and other relatives. Her dear friends Arthur & Sachi Williams, John and Dora Padilla, Bruce and Ria Bailey, Laverne Thompson and a host of other neighbors an friends..
