Taylor William Mitchell

Born December 17,1946 in Harlingen, TX to mother Geraldine Davis-Mitchell and father Taylor W. Mitchell Sr, Billy has peacefully passed away on November 11th, 2022 after an ongoing battle with health complications.

Preceded in death by his parents, sister Geraldine Gardner and beloved daughter, Laurie Leigh Mitchell Wilson; Billy has now gone to join them in Heaven and was welcomed with comfort into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Billy deeply loved his family and is survived by his Son, Taylor “Trey” W. Mitchell III, his daughter Taylor Michelle Mitchell, all of his beautiful grandchildren and his extended family. He also truly cherished his life and the time spent with his sisters Shirley Anderson, Mollie Snyder, Gloria Jean Campbell and brother Robert Lloyd Mitchell along with all of his beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Billy had an adventurous and full life, Þlled with countless memories created with his family, friends and colleagues. There was never a dull moment and he certainly lived life marching to the beat of his own drum. He loved hunting, fishing and cooking, but his true passions were his restaurant and the community. We are so blessed that he was able to see his Son Trey take the helm in 2022, on this, the 30th anniversary of Chili Willie’s Bar and Grill. We know that he was so very proud!

Funeral Services will be privately conducted on Wednesday November 16, 2022 at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, TX

As Billy would have wanted, there will be a public Celebration of Life Memorial Service hosted at our

family’s restaurant on Saturday November 19, 2022.
