Maria was born June 28, 1944 in San Benito, Texas. Until her illness made it impossible, she enjoyed her family and being a devoted wife to her husband, Joel Treviño.
She loved to garden and you could often catch her dancing to her favorite songs. She was always helping those in need and was a great example to her children.
Maria is survived by her husband Joel Treviño; her children, Cynthia Blodgett, Lorelei Bryan, Joel Treviño Jr., and Vanessa Serna.
She is preceded in death by her father, Juan Banda, mother, Lucinda Banda, her brother, Jose Banda, and her son, John Paul Treviño.
On Friday, June 21, 2024, there will be a blessing at St. Theresa Catholic Church at 12:00 PM and a graveside service at 1:00 PM at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Following the graveside service, there will be a Celebration of Life at Blanco by Social Events, 150 Ballenger, San Benito, TX 78566 at 4:00 PM.
