Juan was a man who loved music, played the bass and acoustic guitar, enjoyed fishing, competing in pool tournaments and enjoyed barbecuing for friends and family. He was a big Dallas Cowboys fan. Juan found humor in everything and affectionately gave everyone a funny nickname. Juan truly was the life of the party.
Juan was an automotive painter, school bus driver and also known as DJ Juanelo.
Juan is survived by his wife Enedelia M. Torrez. He is also survived by his beloved daughters Griselda Torres, Sandra T. Salinas (Albert), and Brenda T. Bustamante (Pete) from his previous marriage; loving grandchildren Sadie, Zoie, Michael and Kai; and siblings Bertha Rosales (Carlos), Rogelio Torrez, Mary Reyna (Robert), and Micaela Smith (Michael), and many nephews and nieces whom he loved dearly.
Juan was preceded in death by his mother Genoveva De Leon Torrez and his father Julian Torrez; siblings Amalia, Julian Jr. and Carlos Torrez.
A Visitation for Juan will be held Friday, April 29, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Mont Meta, 26170 State Highway 345, San Benito, Texas 78586 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Chapel Service will occur Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 10:00 AM with burial to follow immediately at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
