Guadalupe "Susie" Zamora

Guadalupe "Susie" G. Zamora, age 91, of Linares, Nuevo Leon, passed away on February 17, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 13, 1932, Susie was a beacon of strength to all who knew her.

Susie's service to others began in the beauty industry as a hairstylist, where her dedication and tireless work ethic propelled her to success in the Harlingen community. Her passion for beauty blossomed into Armstrong McCall Beauty Supply, a testament to her kentrepreneurial spirit. But her ambitions soon expanded to Susie’s Flowers and Gifts Boutique.

Susie leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience cherished by her children, Denise D. "Dee Dee" Zamora, grandpups, Gracie and Emmy Zamora, and Elias J. "E.J." Zamora, grandchildren Elyssa Ann Zamora and Evana (Ricky) Rendon, and a community profoundly impacted by her presence. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elias Jesus "Chipper" Zamora †, sister, Alma Elena Fuentes †, and brother, Abel Fuentes †, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A funeral service for Susie will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Mont Meta & Memorial Park, 26170 State Highway 345, San Benito, Texas 78586. A church service will occur Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1509 New Combes Hwy, Harlingen, TX 78550. A burial will occur Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559.
