

Woodrow “Woody” Mueller entered rest on July 13, 2011. He was born April 2, 1930 in San Antonio, Texas. Woody proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was married soon after to the love of his life. He was a huge sports fan, an avid golfer, and loved to watch his grandkids play. A devout Christian, Woody was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church for 14 years as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4140. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Margaret. He leaves his 5 children to cherish his memory: Jeff Mueller (Belinda), Brenda Houchens (John), Beverlee DeBerry (Mark), Randy Mueller (Gayle), and Tricia Knight (George); Grandchildren: Robert (Pam), Cary (Maria), Bryan (Tawny), David and Katy Mueller; Jason (Shannon), J.J. and Jameson Wall, Tyler, Trevor, and Connor Knight, Aubrey, Sara, and Lindsey DeBerry, and Meagan Houchens; 6 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind 4 brothers and 3 sisters. A Rosary/Vigil for Woody will be recited at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas or a charity of choice.
