Woodrow “Woody” Browning was born in DeRidder, Louisiana on July 27, 1918 and entered Eternal Life on August 23, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Browning retired from the U.S. Air Force (after being a P.O.W. in WWII) and he also retired from Civil Service at Randolph Air Force Base. He was a member of MacArthur Park Lutheran Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph & Cinderella Browning; and his wife of 73 years, Mary C. Browning.
He is survived by his 3 children, Woodrow Clyde Browning, Richard Allen Browning (Rosie), Marilyn Kay Holman (Skip); 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at MacArthur Park Lutheran Church, 2903 Nacogdoches, 78217, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2018 with Full Air Force Honors.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to MacArthur Park Lutheran Church.
