Willie M. Garcia

Guillermo ‘Willie’ Garcia was born on June 25, 1928 to Victor and Juana Garcia in San Antonio, TX. He entered into eternal rest on September 21, 2024. Willie grew up in San Antonio and attended school until the age of 17, when he enlisted in the Navy. After he served his country during war time he came home to San Antonio to begin his civilian life. He met the love of his life Agustina ‘Tina’ Ybarra. Tina and Willie were married in January 1953. This loving marriage produced three beautiful children, Victor, Raquel, and Martin. Willie was known to give of his time, along with Tina, by volunteering at St. John Berchman's Catholic Church. He was known to love bus rides to Eagle Pass for some casino time and, on any given Sunday afternoon, he was watching his Dallas Cowboys.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Juana; brothers Jesus, Juan, and Rodolfo; sister Petra; son-in-law Martin Rivera; and his forever love Tina.

Family left to honor his memory are his children Victor Garcia (Maria), Raquel Rivera and Martin Garcia (Marta); grandchildren Adrian Rivera (Angela), Andrew Rivera (Trisha), Crystal Aguilar (Paul), and Emmanuel Garcia; great grandchildren Isabelle Hernandez, Evan and Marissa Rivera; sister Mary Mendoza; and sister-in-law Olga Garcia.
