Bill was born in Texarkana, Arkansas, September 12, 1935. He passed on July 28, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. He will be interred with his son, Patrick at Sunset Memorial. He is survived by his wife and love, Anna and his three sons, Hans, Michael and John and their families.
A young boy at 17, Bill joined the Army, serving in Korea and Vietnam. He was part of nightly runs in the Viet Nam jungles bringing supplies to fellow soldiers. As a young family man, Bill was stationed in numerous locations in America and Germany. In Germany, he met a young woman, Anna, who had a young child. Bill didn’t shy away from a ready-made family and soon leapt into one of his own. He returned to America with two sons and joined the Military Police. Another son, Patrick, came soon after in San Francisco. Years later, another son, John, joined the family in Heidelberg, Germany.
It’s enough to be a good man, a measure not met by all. Bill was a good man and proud soldier – a good father – a good husband – a good grandfather – and he was himself a good son.
