Wesley Frederic Crowley, CPA entered eternal rest on August 9, 2023, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 76. He was born in Mobile, Alabama on December 4, 1946, to Dagmar Crowley, at a young age, moved to San Antonio and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1965.
He was drafted into the United States Army in 1967 and was sent to Vietnam. He proudly served 2 years and was honorably discharged in 1969. During his military service, he received numerous medals. Wes was always very proud to be a Veteran. After his time in the Army, Wes graduated from St. Mary’s University in 1972 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and received his CPA license in 1974.
Known by most as Wes, he was a self-employed CPA for 50 years. Helping clients was his passion. He had a strong work ethic that gave him success in his career. He impacted many lives and will be greatly missed by all.
When not working, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and vacationing in Las Vegas and Louisiana with his loved ones. Wes had a love for muscle cars which he shared with his brother and friends from a very young age. For many years, Wes volunteered his time helping Dan Kruse and his team at Kruse Classic Car Auctions.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Dagmar Crowley, wife of 20 years, Gloria Crowley, brother, Michael Crowley, nephew, Bryan Crowley and in- laws, Neill and Betty Jean Allen.
Wes is survived by his sons, Wesley Frederic Crowley II aka Jr., Robert Jeffry Crowley, and Grayson Loar, daughters, Mary Lacy Crowley, and Haley Crowley. His favorite niece, Lisa Crowley Clark, sister-in-law, Patricia Crowley, Monica Crowley and of course, Tim and Linda Sanderson. Wes was blessed with ten grandchildren, Kellen, Ryder, Braylee, London, Pyper, Tabatha, Sabryna, Brandon, Shannon and Ashley. He also had ten great grandchildren, Dahlia, Sierra, Sienna, Sarina, Nathanial, Christopher, Michael, Ariana, Lauren, Jacob, and Lacy. Great nieces Morgan, Shelby, and Kara.
Memorial will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 10am at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, Texas 78232. Military service will be held following memorial service at 2:30pm at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
