My good friend Wayne... I found out a year too late that he was living in San Antonio Texas, and had a nice family, and learned to play the guitar and write songs, and probably never quit smoking... For three years or more, we were very close. We played music together for hours on end, just him on drums, Ginger Baker-style, and me on guitar, when we lived together in a sound studio we built on Housten in the East Village, NYC, in 1969. We used to talk all night and drink coffee at his Queens home, or walk and talk on winter streets, smoking and dreaming of the Rock and Rollers we wanted to be. Every time I think of him, I miss him. He loved my mom's Cuban food, black beans in particular, and he inspired me to read cool books. Today I am a four-times published writer, probably because of him. Wayne had an intellectual, artistic heart and an elegant and noble soul. For the last fifty years, I've missed him and will continue to miss him forever.

Wayne was a lovely person.  I knew him for fourteen years and considered him a friend.  He was very funny and frequently made me laugh.  He was kind to everyone no matter how silly the request.    

He will be missed in more ways than I can explain.

Wayne was always there to help me when I visited the PGS office in Houston. He was a very kind person. RIP.

I was so sad to hear about Wayne, he was a lovely man and always ready to help with any issues we had with our computer systems. Wayne will be missed by all.

I was very saddened to hear about Wayne’s passing.  I have worked with Wayne for the past many years at PGS.  He was the calm and helpful face of IT.  If you had an issue Wayne would always say “be right there” Around the holidays he would come by and ask when are you putting up your Christmas tree, I have a small one for my desk.  He always loved to come by to see it.  I keep chocolate bars from Norway in my desk and I always kept one for Wayne and he would always tell me “I love this chocolate”.  Wayne will be missed walking the halls at PGS.  May your heart be filled with wonderful memories of him.  



I was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Wayne. On the few occasions that I had the pleasure of working with him in the Houston office, I was immediately struck by his big, warm smile, kindness, positivity, and constant desire to help others. It was clear that he had a big heart and touched the lives of many.

Wayne will be greatly missed. Please know that my thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. May he rest in peace

With some it takes a lifetime to know the nature of a person but with Wayne it took but a few seconds. He was without peers in his sincerity, patience and willingness to help, alas I only ever knew Wayne in a professional capacity but in those encounters I could tell he was a family man, well loved and respected.
Condolences to his family and loved ones, he will be missed but I'm sure he left you with strong guiding principles to get you through this difficult period.

Wayne will be sorely missed!  I was among the many people he worked with at PGS, and I'll always remember his kindness.  Although he had to help hundreds of us with our various IT problems, he seemed to know each one of us as "real people."  He made everyone feel special when he came to visit with you or when he talked with you on the phone.  He never made you feel like a bother (although we surely were that!).  Instead, he seemed to bring calmness and warmth--like that of a loving uncle--to every interaction.  I wish more people in the world were like Wayne.  Please know that we're heartily sorry for your loss and that we'll pray for him and for your family.

It is so sad to say goodbye to Wayne, such a special work friend. He always said that I was her favorite person in Data Processing....but I am sure he said that to everybody :). I loved all his stories that will always make me smile and brighten my days. I still remember when he showed me one of his pictures when he was young... so nice that he was always willing to stop by and have a chat, ask about my daughter and things in general.

I will miss you very much Wayne. Hope you are sharing play lists with your new friends up there.
