Retired MSGT U.S. Air Force, Warren A. Carberry, age 82, passed away July 18, 2013. He was born on September 4, 1930 in Alva, Oklahoma. Most of his tours of duty were served overseas in the far East. He also retired from civil service at Lackland AFB after 15 years of dedicated service. He was an avid bowler and received numerous national awards in the many tournaments he participated in. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Mary Carberry and a brother, Dale Carberry. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Concepcion Carberry; son, James A. Carberry; brothers, Carl Carberry and wife Rosie, Austin Carberry; sister, Twila Barrett and husband Gary; sister-in-law Virginia Carberry; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Kellum, BAMC, and Amedisys Hospice Care for the good and loving care giving to Mr. Carberry; and special thanks to Elizabeth Jenkins, Elaine Salcido, and Chaplains Victor and Larry Davis. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. Thursday, July 25, 2013 for a 10:00 A.M. mass to be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 4222 SW Loop 410 78227. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Air Force military honors.
