Dear Buddy, (Walter)
Have you ever smelt a fart so incredibly horrendous that it leaves you gasping for your life? I have, my siblings have, and so did you. Driving home one day, my mother, bless her heart let out this bodaciously loud, smelly fart, it was followed by dramatic gasps for air and the usual "who did it's?" Out of nowhere chimes in this tiny, innocent voice "AUNT BARBARA TOOTED". The entire car erupted in laughter, for miles. Not minutes, but for miles. Those miles turned into years of memories and a hard laugh anytime we'd picture my mom tooting like that. That was a good day.
-You were innocent.
The next memory I have of you was the day your mother found out she was pregnant with you. It was Easter, of whatever year wind suits were still popular and rave kept our bangs higher than heaven. As we walked up the sidewalk of our Risada residence, she stopped me and told me to "keep a secret that she was pregnant". I ended up telling my mom, you could hear the reactions go through the house, almost simultaneously. It starts with my mom and a loud squeal of "Congratulations", followed by Aunt Cathy almost screaming from so much joy, followed by Grandma yelling "hot damn". 
-You were wanted.
When you grew older, you had a hard time saying my name. "Jennifer" "Jennifer" "Jennifer", we would even practice, but no such luck. You couldn't get that extra oomph in to finish it. So you and I opted for a nickname that you could say. "Buddy". You called me that for years, we called each other that, to the point where I would get confused when someone called you by your real name. You and I had a connection. I swear, I thought you were put on this earth for me.  It never really stuck with anyone else did it? They didn't have what we had.  That bond. 
-You were needed. 
Wherever you are, wherever your wings took you, you were a lot of things in my eyes and I want you to know that about yourself. 
-You are loved.

Anyone who knows me knows how big of a part Walter was in my life. When I first met him in 7th grade having just moved from Mexico, I had no idea how much we would go through together nor the kind of impact that he would have on me. For many years we were each other’s  best friends and support system, we helped each other get through so many obstacles. From the time I started getting to know him, the first thing I realized about Walter was his good heart, anyone who knows him could tell you the same thing, and that remains true until today. My heart aches at these moments, but God is always good, and I know you’re in a better place now, I just wish that could make saying goodbye any easier.  I love you Walter and I’m forever thankful for all that we learned together, you will be missed but I know we will see you again someday. Rest In Peace. 

"Little" Walter and I always shared a close bond due to how close our birthdays are. His being on the 15th of November, and mine on the 16th. I remember the day he was born (the day before my ninth birthday) I was pleading with his mom "Please wait one more day Aunt Sandra! Just one more day so we can have the same birthdays! Pleeeeeaaaase!" Humoring me she said "I'll try my best Bobby. No promises though." I like to think that she tried to hold off one more day, but in reality, who in their right mind would want one more day of pregnancy? Anyway, I remember when I saw Walter for the first time, he had a huge suction bruise on him. I always laugh because in my head I see the doctor using a regular Hoover vacuum to yank his big ol' head right out of his mom. Life is funny. I wont go into details, but those 5 words, "please wait one more day" came back around when his mother passed away on my birthday several years ago. He will always be the only extended family member whos birthday I can remember. Our bond is not0 one that I can fully put in words. It was more than the blood in our veins, it was one dictated by calander dates and unexplainable coincidences. What I wouldnt give to have him here just "one more day". I love you little cousin. Say hello to your mother for me. I know in my heart that Aunt Sandra, Little Walter, and I will get "one more day" together, and what a day it will be...

Walter was a huge part of my life. He was one of the few that could set my head straight when I needed it the most. He was able to let go of the small things and take everyday as new. His laughter and joking personality will never be forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Parker; grandmothers, Alta McMahon and Carolyn Wilson; grandfathers, William “Bill” Wilson and Walter Arthur Parker Jr.  Walter is survived by his father, Walter Arthur Parker III; sister, Kristin Reese and husband Travis Reese; brother, Justin Parker; niece and nephews, Kadance Parker, Royce Parker, Paxton Parker and Bryson Reese.
