Virginia W. Smith

Virginia Wells Smith was born in Carlisle, KY to Estill Lee and Ethel Pansy (McCarty) Burden, and passed away on April 16, 2015 in San Antonio, TX. Along with her husband, Harold, they have owned Bussey’s Flea Market in Schertz, TX for the last 31 years.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Harold J. Smith; children, Karmen Elaine West, Steven Lawrence Smith and wife, Colleen; Pamela Diane Smith; grandchildren, Jacob Marshall West and wife, Denise, Rebekah Elaine Herrington and husband, Chase, Thomas Everette Mallicoat; great-grandchildren, Candace Jeane West, Madison Anne West, Kindall Laine West and Mackenzie Elaine Herrington. She is also survived by her siblings, Phyllis Ann Harney and husband, Allen, Harold Ray Burden and wife, Laura, Elbert Clay Burden and wife, Clara, Wilburn Lee Burden and wife, Teresa, James Allen Burden and wife, Bonnie and countless more loved ones.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
