Virginia worked as a bookkeeper for AFES as a career, however when not there she also worked as a substitute teacher at St. Gregory the Great where she could enlighten future generations. During her free time she partook in acting as a leader for Girl Scouts of America, and influencing young girls to be their best. She also was active with the Booster club at Antonian College Prepatory; further guiding young mind.
She also enjoyed collecting Angels and cooking. But the time she spent with her family and friends brought her the greatest joy.
Virginia has now reunited with her beloved husband Rudy R. Alvarado.
She leaves behind her three children; her 2 sons, Rudy Alvarado and wife Deborah, Ron Alvarado and wife Mimi, her daughter, Debbie Clair and Husband Tom. Her 5 Grandchildren: Desiree, Zachary, Patrick, Nick, and Johnathon, and 2 Great Grandchildren: Jyllian, and Jace. All will cherish the wonderful memories they have created with her.
A visitation for Virginia will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 6:00pm at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 N loop 1604 E, San Antonio, Texas, 78232. With a Rosary Service to follow at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on July 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on 20523 Huebner Road, San Antonio, Texas, 78258. A graveside service is scheduled for July, 26th, 2021 at 1:45 PM at Fort Sam National Cemetery Suite #5 on 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas, 78234
