On April 4, 2023 Valree Sinor Webb passed away at the age of 85 in Uvalde, Texas Valree was born on September 10, 1937 to James Newton and Ethel Foster Sinor in George West, Texas.
Her childhood was a happy one full of adventures with her siblings and family, Valree was the am born Daughter and child and after her were five more.
Growing up they had goats, 300 laying hens and a horse to take care of. Which if you knew Valree she Detested having to do any of that. Valree was not a country girl. But being the dutiful daughter she Always did what her parents told her and was expected of her. Valree loved her Mama & Daddy with all
Her heart. She loved getting up early and taking her daddy his first cup coffee. She learned early to cook Clean house and help her mama with all the little ones. She grew up going to church with her family at First Baptist Church in George West. She loved Jesus and was Baptised at a young age there in her Hometown Church. She loved to share so many memories of growing up with her siblings, her dear
Daddy& Mama and her beloved grandparents. She partically loved Christmas time her mama & daddy
Would load them all up and take them to San Antonio to Joke's to see Santa Claus.
Valree was extremely close to her daddy and thought the world of him. He taught her to shoot at an
Age and she was a good shot. Since her daddy was deputy sheriff and over 6 feet tall he loved to scare The young men that came around wanting to court Valree and her sisters. Sadly when Valree was 17
Years old their whole world was shook to the core with the passing of their daddy. Valree graduated Early from high school and was picked by western union through the church to go to Oklahoma and Go to their school to be trained to work for them. She often shared the story of her Mama and 6 siblings Taking her to the bus stop and putting her on the bus, while everyone was crying to see her go, She said Was scared to pieces herself. Never living out of Live Oak County much less out of state. But she knew
She had to do this to help her family and send money back home. Valree worked for western union in Corpus Christi for a while. Then she was offered a job in San Antonio, Texas in 1957, Valree was often
Known as the Elizabeth Taylor of the Water Board where she worked for her beauty, but if you knew Valree her beauty was as much on the inside as the outside. Valree absolutely loved working and living in
San Antonio, Valree got an apartment with her sister Carolyn and best friend Sandra, oh if those walls could talk. She eventually got a job with CPS and worked on the executive floor as a secretary. Valree worked at CPS for 26 years before retiring. She met her husband, Jack Webb at CVS. Valree married Jack Webb November 20, 1976 at first Baptist Church in Oakville, Texas. They were happily married and 44 years before he passed away September 25, 2020.
During their 44 years of marrlage they Were both quite active In many clubs, organiztions. They particarly loved being members of the Anglers Club of san Antonio. Valree was a member of the Eastern Star for over 6o years, She loved helping with Flesta and ole night in san Antonio. She loved to fish and go to the tournaments and compete. She was A HUGE fan of the san Antonio spurs, so much that you didn't call to chat during their games. Valree Served on the board for the CPS retirees and she loved all their CPS parties, meetings and her & Jack were faithful attending meetings and events. Valree served and volunteered at Castle Hills Church and loved her church family.
If you knew Valree you knew she loved to cook and bake. She was a very warm loving hostess in her Home especially. When you came for a visit there were always warm cookies or brownies just made. You Would often find her at the glass door waiving and smiling as you arrived. Valree loved all her family with Her whole heart. She was Aunt Valree to her many nieces and nephews. She was very close to her Mama, "Mama Sinor" and helped take care of her as her mama got up in age. Valree was quite close With her sisters Mary Len, Carolyn, Jimmie Nell and Cindy and her brothers Jehn & Wesley. In 1995 she Lost her youngest sibling Cindy. It was a very hard time for all the family. At that time Aunt Valree took her sisters girls under her wing.and before long the girls were both married and after Natalie had Hunter, Aunt Valree became NONNIE. She was a wonderful aunt but once those bables were born she absolutely EXCELLED at being a nonnie. Valree loved travelling, her and Jack both loved to travel and went many places through the years. She loved the holidays especially Christmas time, she started the tradition of going to the Nutcracker Ballet for the last 10 years with the family.
Valree loved life and lived hers to the fullest with a smile on her face to the very end. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Valree Sinor Webb passed away to be with Jesus on April 4, 2023 at the age of 85. She was born on September 10, 1937 in George West, Texas to James and Ethel Sinor.
Valree was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jack Webb of nearly 44 years, her parents; sisters Mary Len Jones and Cindy Maguglin; brother John Sinor; and honorary granddaughter Kaylee Ann Hobbs.
She is survived by her honorary daughters Natalie (Raine) Hobbs and Lacey (Danny) Junek; honorary grandchildren Hunter and London Hobbs and Lanie and Dylan Junek. She will forever be their special “Nonnie”. She is also survived by sisters Carolyn Lee and Jimmie Nell Work, brother Wesley (Claudine) Sinor, and numerous nieces, nephews and many loving family and friends.
Valree worked and retired as an executive secretary for City Public Service for 26 years. Valree belonged to many clubs and organizations. She was a member of the Eastern Star for over 60 plus years. She served on the board of the Anglers Club of San Antonio and served on her CPS Better Service Club and Retirees. Valree loved serving at her church, Castle Hills Christian Church here in San Antonio.
Valree had many hobbies but loved being a “Nonnie” the most. Hunter, London, Lanie and Dylan were her world. She absolutely was a huge fan of the San Antonio Spurs. Valree loved San Antonio and lived here for over 65-plus years.
Valree was a remarkable, kind, loving human. She always had a huge smile on her face. She loved the Lord and loved her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by many.
Pallbearers will be Hunter and Raine Hobbs, Danny and Dylan Junek, and Temple, Tyler, and Travis Lee.
