Tomas Jimenez was born December 28, 1925 in San Antonio, Texas who passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at the age of 95. Mr. Jimenez was an upstanding Army Veteran of the 71st Infantry Division who served in World War 2 recieved the bronze star. Tomas was a life member of the VFW Post 9603 while being a founding member of the Veterans Parade Est. 1999. Tomas is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Marie E. Jimenez; parents, Francisco Jimenez and Rosa Garcia; and brothers, Albert Jimenez, Frank Jimenez, Michael Jimenez, and Bonifacio Garcia. He is survived by his children, Evangeline Lorraine Rodriguez, Tom Anthony Jimenez, Carolyn Rose Tarrant; his sister, Carmen De La Riva; beloved daughter-in-law, Delia, son-in-law Frank Rodriguez Jr. and Michael Tarrant; grandchildren, Michael T. Rodriguez (Rebekah) and Brittany D. Rodriguez and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A visitation for Tomas will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205 with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. The funeral service will occur Friday, December 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with a committal service following at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
