Tom was born in Little Falls, Minnesota to Gilbert and Virginia Harren on October 1, 1948. He graduated from Long Prairie High School in Long Prairie, Minnesota. He proudly served in the US Army from 1966-1969. He was stationed in Germany and Viet Nam. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for his service in Viet Nam.
After meeting on a blind date in April, he married Roylynn Anderson in September of 1974. They had two sons, Erik and Ryan. In 2004, he retired after a 34-year career with United Parcel Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Terry. He is survived by his wife Roylynn; sons Erik and Ryan; sister Lynn Geraets; daughter-in-law Suzanne; grandson Evan; Samantha Wright; and nieces Andrea and Megan Geraets, and Ashley Harren.
Tom was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
