Theresa Aguilar Mata

Theresa Aguilar Mata departed on January 18, 2015 at the age of 85 years old in San Antonio, Texas. She was known for her great sense of humor, and will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of Jehovah to the end. She is preceded in death by her husband, Luis Mata Jr.; sons, Louie A. Mata III, Jesse A. Mata, and daughter; Gloria A. Mata. She is survived by her children, Joe Mata (Weda), Alex A. Mata (Sandra), Johnny A. Mata (Rosie), Nora A. Mendoza (John), Linda M. Garza (John), Raymond A. Mata (Melinda), brothers; Pete Aguilar (Rosa), and sister; Lillie Damian (Nacho), as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd., from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery III.
