Our beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend Terrance “BoBo” Davis made his final journey home and was reunited with our Lord on Monday, May 3, 2010. Terrance will be remembered for his selfless devotion and support of those who surrounded him. His keen wit, strong principles, unconditional love for family and friends and funny stories will be sorely missed by all who were blessed by his presence. Terrance started his life on September 8, 1977 in Hampton, Virginia to William H. Davis Jr. and Laverne M. Davis. Terrance had a love of sports that was inspired by his father who often coached him throughout his childhood. As a young man he was led to the Lord by his grandmother, Christine Davis. His family’s military travels took him from Virginia to San Antonio, Texas where he graduated from John Jay High School in 1995. Upon graduation, Terrance received a basketball scholarship to attend South Plains College in Levelland, Texas. He served his country honorably as a Military Police Officer in the Army Reserves for eight years and was called to active duty after September 11th. At the same time, he served the public with pride as a respected firefighter for the Hampton, Fort Eustis and Lackland Fire Departments. Patiently awaiting his arrival are his maternal grandparents, Matthew and Nancy Davis and aunt, Aleathia M. Davis. Terrance is survived by his wife, the love of his life--Donna, who he met 16 years ago in high school and together had two beautiful children, DeionTe and DeJah. He was especially dedicated to his family and ensured that everyone stayed connected and loved. Terrance is also survived by his parents, William H. Davis Jr. and Laverne M. Davis.; two sisters, Yolanda Davis and twin Tasha Davis-Lindsey (Richard); one brother, Samuel Davis (Latia); three nieces and seven nephews; his paternal grandparents, William and Christine Davis; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive visitors from 5-8pm on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. Celebration services will be held at Westover Hills Assembly of God on Thursday, May 13th at noon. The burial ceremony will be announced at the closing of services. In lieu of flowers, monetary gifts may be made in the name of DeionTe Meredith-Davis and/or DeJah Meredith-Davis at any Wachovia or Wells Fargo Bank. You are invited to share memories and offer condolences at www.mem.com. Terrance’s spirit will always be alive in our hearts.
