Ernestina “Nini” Ann Juarez aka Teena entered into the loving arms of our Lord on February 1, 2023 at the tender age of 43. She was born on October 30, 1979 in San Antonio, Texas to Sylvia Lerma and Ernesto Juarez; she was the middle of three daughters.
Nini was a native San Antonian, she played softball at St. Francis Academy. Teena worked at Handy Andy, where she met her loving husband, Luis Gamez. They started a beautiful relationship and the couple decided to get married on February 2, 2008. She later decided to start working at YWCA, where her passion for caring for people came naturally. Teena was a natural caregiver. She would be the biggest cheerleader for anyone in need. She loved meeting people and did not mind starting a conversation with strangers. Teena would start conversations with strangers and by the end; they would be great friends. She loved working with kids and when her nieces and nephews entered her life, she would always be present for their games or anything they were involved in. Her family came first to her, and her children were her pride and joy. Besides her big heart, Teena was big in her faith. She attended church with her family and would dedicate time with her church family. Teena believed in being kind and caring, just like our Lord.
Teena will be reunited in heaven with her beloved twin children, Luis and Lyla; and her beloved cat, Jordan.
Nini’s memory will forever live in her parents, Sylvia Lerma and Ernesto Juarez; husband, Luis Antonio Gamez Jr., children, Mikhael and McKayla. Sisters, Melissa (Jose) Juarez and Cassandra (Ernesto) Garcia; nieces and nephews, Ray Elwood V, Emily Elwood, Zachary Elwood, Daniel Juarez, Jacob Juarez, and Arianna Garcia; and numerous extended family members.
We would like to thank everyone including the YWCA and OHC Westside for their compassion and generosity, that they have provided to her family.
