Sylvia Ann Threatt, age 82, passed away on December 10, 2019. She was born in Pampa, Texas on October 2, 1937. Sylvia graduated from Pampa High School and received a Diploma in Nursing from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Lubbock, Texas. Sylvia worked in various fields of nursing including hospital, nursing home, public health, and school nursing. Sylvia said, “I felt I was meant to take care of people. I accepted Jesus as my savior at a young age.” Her hobbies included reading, crocheting and quilting. She loved watching the Cowboys and Spurs and she enjoyed playing card and board games with her family. Sylvia was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Euel and Thelma Davis, her daughter, Carol Berry; her siblings, Wanda Moore, Earl Davis, and Darrell Davis. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Threatt; her children, Curtis Threatt, Cathie Threatt, and Charles Threatt and his wife, Mindy; her grandchildren, Payton Threatt, Drew Threatt, Alex Threatt, and Kyle Threatt; and her nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 13th from 6-9 pm at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, December 14th at 10:00 am at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
