Stonewall was born in Tyler, Texas to Stonewall and Ann Fisher on November 11, 1942. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi. Stonewall went on to the University of Texas School of Law where he graduated third in his class and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1967.
After service to his country in the Finance Corps of the U. S. Army, Stonewall joined Arthur Young in Dallas, and a few years later returned to San Antonio to join the law firm that came to be known as Lang, Ladon, Green, Coghlan and Fisher. Stonewall served as managing partner of the firm for over two decades. In 1999 he became the Vice-President of Legal Affairs and Chief Legal Officer for Lancer Corporation.
Stonewall is preceded in death by his parents, Stonewall and Ann Fisher, and a half-sister, Patsy Youngblood.
Stonewall is survived by his soul mate and wife of 16 years, Lisa; sons, Steven and Jon; stepdaughter, Elizabeth O’Connell; daughter-in-law, Amy; and grandsons, Jackson and Will.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., Monday, October 12, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home with the Funeral Services to be held at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Condolences may be offered at www.sunsetfuneralhomesa.com.
