Steven L. Woolley left this earth on March 24, 2011 at the age of 54. Steve resided in San Antonio, Texas. Steve was born on July 17, 1956. He is the eldest son of Kenneth and Valerie Woolley. Steve was a loving brother to Dr. Michael Woolley (wife Dr. Carrie Woolley) and Karen Woolley-Duckworth (husband, Jon Duckworth). There will not be a day that will go by that they will not think of Steve. God has you in his keeping-we have you in our hearts. Steve graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. The love of Steve’s life was science. He shared his love for science with his students during the period of time he was a teacher. He was generous in heart, mind, and spirit, and was known for his enjoyment of the outdoors, particularly sailing in Canyon Lake and Deep Sea Fishing with his nephews. Steve was a proud Uncle to his 2 nieces and 4 nephews: Katie (husband Jared Werner), Sean and Kristofer Duckworth and Austin, Sam and Jenna Woolley. They will miss their Uncle Steve greatly. Their stories and memories with him will last forever. Steve has touched the hearts’ of all those he met in his lifetime. His untimely death has solidified the faith of his family. They will trust in the Lord and pray for clarity at this trying time. A visitation will be held Friday, April 1, 2011, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Sunset Northwest Funeral Chapel on Bandera Road.
