He leaves his Wife of 30 years, Leslie (Wall) Perdue; his daughters, Cynthia (Perdue) Haynes of Goliad, Texas, Charla (Perdue) Sparks of Midlothian, Texas and Jeri (Perdue) Bulthuis of San Antonio, Texas; his sister, Carolyn (perdue) Butler of San Antonio; his brothers, Alan Perdue and Scott Perdue both of San Antonio; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many close friends.
Born in Cairo, Illinois and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas he later became a lifelong resident of San Antonio, Texas.
In his early years, Steve enjoyed motorcycles and eventually started racing dirt bikes competitively. He loved entertaining for family and friends. With that he taught himself how to play the guitar and sang to all for many years. After serving in the US Army at the age of 17, Steve moved on to become a successful entrepreneur. His most prideful endeavor was as a motorcycle/car salesman. Driven by his passion, in the late 70’s, he started a motorcycle shop with his brother Alan called Perdue Brothers. Later he transitioned into automobiles and started Perdue Auto Sales, which was family owed and operated and closed in 2007. He quietly retired and lived out the remainder of his life with his loving wife.
A viewing and service will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Saturday, September 12, 2015; viewing 1pm-5pm and service 5pm-6pm. Burial will be private at Fort Sam Houston with military honors.
