Shirley Ann Surman

She is preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers, her brother-in-law Jesse Futral, and mother-in-law Genevieve Shaw Kaiser. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Ronald W. Surman, her two daughters: Dawn Stephens (Dee), Nicole Davies (Lony Edwards); grandchildren: John, Nicholas, Cheryl, Stephen, Jayden; Siblings: Patsy and Ray, and other loving family members and numerous friends.

Shirley was an amazing mother and outstanding grandmother, she loved her grandchildren she would do anything for them she attended every event for their school. When Shirley was younger she attended Edison High School, she worked at Winn's she went to Retail Merchants downtown until her first child was born so she could stay home and raise her family. She was the Life of the Party and loved to talk to everyone she knew or came into contact with. She was a caring and social person and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be begin on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218. A Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10:00am at the funeral home with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
