Shirley P. McCoy

Shirley P. McCoy was born on April 24, 1935 in Irvona, Pennsylvania and passed away on November 4, 2014. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed. She was a successful independent business woman and past President of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW. She was an avid San Antonio Spurs fan who held season tickets for over 20 years and enjoyed travelling throughout the United States in her RV.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 22 years George C. McCoy, Retired Major, Army; daughter Susan D. McCoy; and dear family friend John F. Stuck, Retired Chief Master Sargent, Air Force. She is survived by her children Wendy McCoy and George C. McCoy II; Grandchildren: Rachelle McCoy (Javier Sanchez), Jasmine McCoy, and Isabella McCoy; Great grandchildren: Julian Sanchez, Desiree Sanchez, and Naomi Sanchez; Siblings: Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Ballarotto (Charlotte) from Clearfield, PA, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Peterson (Sparky) from Irvona, PA, Mr. and Mrs. William Peterson (Jane) from Irvona, PA, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Mann (Nancy) from Irvona, PA.

The graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 9:00am.
