Shirley A. Head was born in McDonna, TX on November 17, 1929 to Norman Arthur and Florence Martha (Wolff) Renken, and entered eternity on January 10, 2015 in San Antonio, TX. Shirley spent many years as a kindergarten teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, John Head. Surviving are her sons, Russell Head, Ralph Head and his wife, Melanie, Ray Head and his wife, Jackie; grandchildren, Scott Head, Michelle Head Wagner and husband, Brett, Warren Head, Jessica Head Johnson and husband, Josh, Taylor Head; great-granddaughter, Lyla Johnson; brother, Thomas N. Renken; and sister, Martha McRae.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
