I’m so grateful to Sergio for being there for my husband Daniel “Danny”.  Daniel looked up to Sergio and learned a lot from him in the form of life lessons and building skills.  Sergio was a great impact on our lives in being there for Daniel. He will be greatly missed.  We love you Sergio! 

He was a good man and friend you will be miss 

It was my good fortune to meet Sergio at a recent Brandeis football game. He kept his eyes glued on the field watching his son’s every move- even while we chatted!   We kept in touch and met for lunch at his favorite menudo place. Over lunch he showed me cell phone pics of his motorcycle, of his daughter with the dogs, the three dogs posing while in the bathtub and a few other pictures. He described  his son’ soccer life and his transition to football.  Yes, Sergio was very, very proud of his kids. As fate would have it, I was about to text Sergio to arrange another lunch meeting. But then you were thoughtful enough to inform me of his passing before I sent the text.  There is an empty place in my life without Sergio to meet up with again.  My deepest condolences to his family.

You will be missed. We feel so proud that you were a part of our lives. We will never forget your happy attitude and the love you had for your family and hobbies.

Jerry & I met Sergio when he was 17. We worked for the same homebuilder; and Sergio was a quick study learning cabinetry work. He became a valued friend to our family, our two boys.  It was a privilege to have known him.Bless his family.

Sergio was our biking buddy in the Dragons Cycling Group. He was strong and never backed down. His presence would iluminate strength and preserverence. He was a kind and generous soul too. I have many good memories of Sergio. We would call him Tio Checo in our cycling group. He was very proud of his son and his high school football team. He is going to be missed. He left us early and unexpected. May the family know that we appreciated him very much and we had so much fun biking with him. 

Tio Checo you will be missed. May God comfort the family and I give my deepest condolences to the family.



I met Sergio through a mutual friend about 15 years ago. Sergio and I used to share stories of our grandkids and  he set the bar for me on where I wanted to be with mine.  He will be missed by many.. My condolences  to his family. May God grant you the strength during this time.

I first met Sergio in about 2006 or 7 through a new home decorator who Recomended him to trim out a new home i was building.
We became friends
I went to work building for a custom home builder in New Braunfels and  I hired Sergio and his son to trim out some houses around 2013 or 14.
Sergio did excellent work and was a good Christian man.

I’m sorry he left so soon but I believe he is safe in Christ and we will see him again 

Sergio spent his last morning doing what he loved to do... deadlifting. He marched in the gym and asked if we could deadlift that  morning. He reminded me of his goal of a 500 lb deadlift. Sergio never gave less than 100% to everything whether it was work, riding his mountain bike, or training. He talked about his kids and grandkids every session with so much love and pride. He touched so many lives of people in our gym and we are all going to miss him. We will be hanging a plaque with his picture by his favorite spot.. the lifting platform.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Sergio, Sergio meant so much to our family for so many years.
I first met Sergio when I was 14 or 15 at his mothers house, we worked together in home building and I also worked for Sergio.

The only time I have been to Mexico was with Sergio in the 80’s, we visited Monterrey and the surrounding areas.

I am so sorry for the family and I want you to know what an impact Sergio made on so many lives.
