Sarah F. Banda

Sarah F. Banda, our beloved mother, granny and sister, entered rest on February 21, 2015 at the age of 91. She was born in Von Ormy, Texas to Ismael S. and Eufemia Flores on November 3, 1923. Sarah worked as a hairdresser for Shoppers City Mall for over 40 years; not only did she work until her 80’s, but she also drove her classic El Camino. A devout catholic she was a Gudalupana with St. Clare Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Miguel and is survived by their sons, Abundio Miguel “Mike” Banda (Bonnie), Erasmo “Eddie” Banda (Guadalupe); grandchildren, Jason Banda, Sara Rodriguez (Gilbert), Erica Banda, and Brett Michael Banda; great-grandchildren; Devin Rodriguez, Robert Carrasco III, Julie Carrasco; brother, Richard Flores; sisters, Beatrice Rivera and Antonia “Toni” Flores; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, February 26, 2015 to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Clare Catholic Church.
