Sara Ayala

Sara Ayala, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, joined her Heavenly Father on January 30, 2012 at the age of 98. Sara was born in Cotulla to Felix and Senaida Ayala on April 27, 1913. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Josefa Aguilar, Feliz Lopez and husband Wally, Ruth Hernandez and husband Robert; 7 grandchildren: Sara Alejandro and husband Eloy, Rachel Herrera and husband Raul, Daniel R. Lopez, Steven Lopez and wife Amy, Denise Y. Lopez Lausten and husband Leonard, Sylvia Ann Barone and husband Phil, and Robert Hernandez, Jr.; 20 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was an entrepreneur with a talent in floral design and arts and crafts. She was the founder of Templo Fe Esperanza Y Caridad serving the community for over 60 years. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her love of God, example of faith, spirit of service and generosity. The family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers for an Evening Service at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2012 to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church.
