Santos Serna Jr

Santos served in the U.S. Army for 20 years in military intelligence.

He then worked for the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners as an investigator for 10 years.

After, he taught math for 10 years at Christa McAuliffe Middle School for Southwest ISD.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gloria Valdez Serna, his two daughters Krista Serna Ramos of Houston, TX. ,Korinda Yvette Serna of San Antonio, TX, and his four grandchildren, Noah Serna 14, Gabriel Ramos 12, Elijah Serna 10, Vanessa Ramos 8, and four brothers Jimmy Serna, Raymond Serna, Hector Serna, and Larry Serna. He was preceded in death by his sons Jacob and Jason Serna, his brother Robert Serna, his mother Irene Serna, and his father Santos Serna Sr.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

The family will be receiving family and friends on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Sunset North Funeral Home 910 North Loop 1604 East from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St Anthony Mary Claret on Wednesday April 6, 2016 at 12:00 p.m.; burial to follow at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery at 2:30pm.
