Santiago Talamantez, Jr., beloved husband, father and grandfather, entered rest on August 13, 2014 at the age of 85. A native of San Antonio, he was born to Santiago and Petra Talamantez on June 22, 1929. He honorably served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by son, Jesse and daughter , Mary Talamantez and is survived by wife of 35 years, Guadalupe F. Talamantez; children: Florencio Talamantez (Edna), Paulita Talamantez, Manuel Talamantez, Ralph Talamantez (Diane), Pablo Talamantez (Elaine), Santiago Talamantez, III (Jessica); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and other relatives. The family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers for a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:15 a.m., Friday, August 22, 2014 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
