He is preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Ann Vargas, and siblings, Ramon, Juan, Joe, and Fabiana Rangel.
Santiago is survived by his wife of 61 years, Abundia V. Rangel; Children, Jimmy Rangel(Annie), Connie Maldonado (Eric), Rebecca Servin, Marcos Rangel (Bertha), Joseph Rangel, Gregorio Rangel (Rita), Jeannie Jimenez (John), Adam Rangel (Anna), Angelica Maria Ramos(Luis Miguel); And siblings, Richard Rangel, Eugenia Leon, Lupe Arguello; As well as numerous, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A visitation for Santiago will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211, with a Rosary being recited at 5:00 PM. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
