Sandra Lee Peters

She left behind a legacy that will live on for generations to come. Sandi was born at Fort Benning Georgia on November 7, 1960, to her parents Joseph and Dorothy Henderson. Sandi and her family moved to San Antonio in 1970 and she will be laid to rest there on March 16, 2024.

Sandi spent many years teaching, shaping and instituting faith in young minds as a teacher at Crown of Life Lutheran Preschool until 2007, where she then transitioned to employment at St. Mary’s Hall until her passing. At St. Mary’s Hall she worked diligently over the years and earned the distinct privilege to be awarded her title as Assistant Director of Enrichment. As the Assistant Director of Enrichment Sandi was instrumental in the success of so many inner workings at St. Mary’s Hall but was most notably famous for her unwearied efforts in making St. Mary’s Hall’s Summer Camp an institution all its own. Her ability to make each child feel individually loved was uncanny and her work ethic was a living blueprint for all to see.

She is survived by her husband Jeffrey Peters and his daughter Jennifer Peters, her son Shaman Owensby, her daughter Samantha Collins, her son-in-law Michael Collins, her Daughter-in-law Priscilla Owensby, her brothers Ronnie Henderson, Dean Henderson, her sister Diane Trommer, her beloved grandchildren, Sydney Collins, Doc Collins, Wyatt Collins, Presley Owensby, Chance Peters, Jesse Peters, Julie McGough, and Tristan Constable.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Dorothy and Joseph Henderson, and by her brothers Jody and Greg Henderson. Sandi will live on in the hearts and memories of every single person she even just met. Sandi did not just touch lives, she impacted them, she shaped them, she changed them all for the better. Sandi is an exemplar, her loss is immeasurable, and she will be missed forever.

A visitation for Sandra will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Victory Assembly of God, 1017 W Byrd Blvd, Universal City, TX 78148. A funeral will occur Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 1017 W Byrd Blvd, Universal City, TX 78148. A committal will occur Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218.
