Sandra Kay Cusick, age 67, passed away March 4, 2022 in San Antonio, TX. She was born in Kansas City, Ks to Robert Hudson and Margaret Madden. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed. She was also a proud U.S Veteran.
Sandra was known as “Mama Sam” to many, she was tough, but caring. She had a strong will that never quit. There was no better person to have your back, she had a bold presence, kindness and was very opinionated. She was the type of person to give her shirt off her back, or give you a safe place to stay.
She was preceded in death by her mother Margaret Higgins ( Madden), her father Robert Hudson, and Step Father Thomas Adams.
Mrs. Cusick is survived by her husband, SFC (Ret) Terry Cusick of San Antonio, Son Conan Carling of Denver Colorado, Daughter SFC Tiffany LaFountain of Maysville Ga, Grandchildren PFC Christian French and Addyson French of Maysville Ga, Cora Carling of Denver Colorado. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and adopted children.
The visitation will be 9-10:30 am., Monday April 4, 2022 at Sunset Funeral home. The Graveside Service will be 11:15 a.m., Monday, April 4, 2022 at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery (Shelter #2) with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to San Antonio Patriot Guard, or Wounded Warriors.
