Samuel Eugene Young passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. Samuel was born in Lexoria, Arkansas on September 9, 1931 to David and Marjorie Young. Samuel proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great great-grandfather that will be greatly missed.
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anita Young; and son, John Petrie. He is survived by his sister, Peggy Garner; his children, Sharon Palmer and her husband, Russ, Debbie Camden, Kathleen Berry and her husband Mike; his daughter-in-law, Esther Petrie; 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 7 great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 23rd from 6-8 pm at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, January 24th at 12 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Air Force Honors.
