Rudy G. Ruiz, Sr. was born in San Antonio, TX on March 27, 1928 to Dario and Felecitas (Garcia) Ruiz and passed away in San Antonio, TX on April 16, 2013 at the age of 85. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during Korea. Rudy worked in the steel industry for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Ruiz; parents; and brothers, Herminio and Gelacio Ruiz. Surviving are his son, Rudy Ruiz, Jr; daughter, Margaret Cathey; sister, Chelo Hinojosa; and brother, Dario Ruiz, Jr. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013 in Sunset Funreal Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
