Rudy Gonzalez Garcia, U.S. Marine Veteran, born on October 15, 1930 in San Antonio, TX was called to be with the Lord on March 19, 2017 at the age of 86. He is preceded in death by his parents, Simon Garcia and Petra Gonzalez; son, Michael P. Garcia; sister, Lydia Chavez; brothers, Rodrigo Garcia, Reymundo Garcia and Eduardo Garcia. He is survived by his wife, Antonia P. Garcia; sons, Rudy P. Garcia and Paul P. Garcia; grandchildren, Sarah D. Garcia, Michael Garcia, Heather Garcia and Shannon Garcia; great grandchildren, Emily Garcia- Meyer, Audrey Meyer, Hunter Garcia, Mason Garcia and Luke Garcia; sister, Maria L. Rooman. The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home Monday, April 3, 2017 at 9:15 a.m. for a 9:45 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, 747 S. W. 39th St., San Antonio, TX 78237. Interment will follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
