Rudy De La Vega

Our beloved father and grandfather, Rudy De La Vega, born on March 20, 1931 in Houston, TX was called to be with our Lord on September 13, 2016 at the age of 85. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benito and Maria De La Vega; beloved wife Margaret De La Vega and son Roger De La Vega. He is survived by his children: Rose Mary Yousefi (Ali), Rudy De La Vega Jr. (Esther), Ernestine De La Vega, Christine De La Vega, Esther Elizondo, Norma De La Vega and Claire Barbosa (Edward); also, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He served his country with Honor in the United States Army for 20 years. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral procession will depart from the funeral home on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Timothy Catholic Church. Interment in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at SAMC, Heartland, Stone Oak Care Center and Gentiva Hospice for providing excellent care.
