Ruby Ann Lynch Patteson

Ruby Ann Patteson was born to John and Jenny Lynch on their family ranch in Uvalde County. She enjoyed life on the ranch as the seventh and youngest child. The family later moved to San Antonio where she attended school. She met her husband, Leon when she was in Jr. High School. They were married in 1937 when she was 21. After raising their family, Leon retired from the San Antonio Fire Department. They bought a motor home and enjoyed traveling to every state except Hawaii.

After 100 years she has now arrived in Heaven with Leon, her husband of 63 years; their daughter, Marilyn Champagne; and grandson, Corey Patteson, Sr.

She is survived by her two daughters, Joyce McMahan and Linda Moore (Larry); and one son, Robert Patteson (Diane). Ruby is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Danny McMahan (Renee), Michael Patteson (Selina), Holly Kelberlau (Kenneth), and Jennifer Moses (Preston). Great-grandchildren are Nicholas, Treasure, Lauren, Christian, Corey, Jr., Jaelynn and Sullivan along with nieces and nephews that always remembered Aunt Ruby.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the exceptional care provided by Brighton Gardens/Emeritus; Harbour Hospice, Stone Oak Care Center, and Vitas Hospice during her final journey.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m., February 5th at Sunset Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
