Ruben D. Martinez, Sr.

En hacer tú voluntad, oh Dios mio me he deleitado, y tú ley esta dentro de mis entrañas

Beloved husband, father, Ruben D. Martinez, Sr., age 83, passed away June 26, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Cisneros, brothers, Jesse, Conrado and Dimas Martinez. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 57 years, Mary S. Martinez, daughter Olivia Santoyo, husband Richard, sons Ruben Jr., wife Leticia; Rey, wife Sandra, Eddie, wife Leticia, also 10 grandchildren; Cristina, Richard, Ruben III, Eric Michael, Kevin Ryan, Justin Rey, Kassie Rae, Lori, Jon, Felicia, 4 great grandchildren; Marcus, Aria, Carolina, Eli Eduardo, his sister Dolores Martinez, numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Interim Hospice in particular Nurses Kendyl Fisher & Matt Brunk and Staff for the care and dignity extended to our loved one. Our beloved father was a peaceful, humble, giving man who planted seeds of faith, love and respect in his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted servant of Jehovah God and many people and families credit our father for teaching them biblical truths. His legacy will live on in all of us. Visitation will begin Friday, June 29, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a discourse to begin at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. for burial at San Manuel Ysidro Cemetery in Macdona, Texas.
