He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel G. and Adelina Martinez; brother, Manuel V. Martinez.
He is survived by his wife, Catarina Borrego Martinez; son, Ruben B. Martinez, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Oralia Martinez and Irene Poenisch; niece, Linda; nephew Manuel Martinez III.
The Visitation will be held Monday, January 23, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be held at 11:30 a.m. Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78209.
