She was born August 4, 1921 in San Antonio, Texas, daughter of the late Felipe and Maria Valdemar.
Rosie attended and was in the first graduating class of Burbank High School (1940).
After graduation, Rosie worked as a seamstress for a Laundry/Cleansers where she met her husband Tony.
Rosie was a stay at home mom who was a very active member of the PTA (Parent Teachers Association) of South San Antonio ISD. She was later awarded a lifetime membership in the PTA for her dedication and service to Price Elementary.
Because of Rosie’s dedication to community service, she volunteered at SAMM’S Shelter – Soup Kitchen, a ministry dedicated to feeding the homeless, St. Vincent de Paul’s Society, and a library volunteer at Price Elementary.
She is survived by her children:
Daughter Cecilia and son-in-law, Jesse Trinidad of Seguin, TX; son, Armando Sifuentes and daughter-in-law Petra (Cookie); daughter, Linda S. Sanchez; and daughter, Gilda.
Grandchildren are Armando, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Gisela; Stephanie; Marisa and son-in-law, Juan; Nicole; Kristina and son-in-law, Ray; Adrian; and Emmet.
Great-grandchildren are Iliana, Anissa, J.C., Richard, Marco, Damian, Alessandra, Rodrigo and Daniel.
Extended family grandchildren are Christopher; Nathan, Lucy and Mark. Extended great grand-children are Natalia; Ethan and Jonathan; John, Kayla, and Cody.
Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Trevino Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's (South San) Catholic Church with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
