Rose cared deeply for her family and had a fiesty, loving spirit. She graduated from Fox Tech High School in 1951, where she excelled in band and tennis. She spent her formative years in San Antonio before meeting and marrying the love of her life, Paul Rubio, Jr. They eloped in 1952 and renewed their vows on their first wedding anniversary at St. Mary's Catholic Church in downtown San Antonio, TX. Before their children were born, you would often find Rose and Paul spending time with friends playing cards or attending dances.
Rose was a devout Catholic. She had a strong connection to her faith and the Lord. She was known for the prayer books and badges she designed and had printed. People from all over the country would contact her requesting she send some to them. She had the pleasure of taking a life-altering trip to Medjugorje, Yugoslavia, where she strengthened her connection to God.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Beatrice. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Paul Jr; sons Paul III (June), Randolph (Gina), and Ronald (Lisa); and grandchildren Paul IV, Jessica, Ronald Jr, Benjamin, Christopher, Evan, and Taylor.
