My thoughts and prayers are with you all..I can still remember the first time I went to meet Ron and you Peggy..I think Javier was more excited to introduce your family to me because you all are so warm and caring and show so much love to everyone you come in contact with. You have always held a special place in our hearts and we both thank you for allowing us to be apart of your lives. I know that Ron is in a better place without pain and looking down watching over all of us now...we love you all and are here for you all.

I had the pleasure of working with Ron at The Right of Way department and enjoyed his knowledge and passion of his collection of classic cars. I'll always remember him as a joyful and peaceful man. My deepest condolences to the Putz family.

My prayers are with Mrs. Putz and the family.  I had the pleasure of meeting Ron during his time with the ROW dept. which I always enjoyed working with him.  He spoke with such love about the love of his life, and his dancing partner. He was a very proud father who spoke often of all the great things his kids were doing or done.  And lets not forget "the Mustangs". We lost a dear person here on earth, but Heaven got a wonderful Angel.

PEGGY, We were out of town when I heard of Ron's passing and had hoped to be able to attend his funeral. I wanted to express my condolences to all of you. I will always remember Ron's love and warmth as he greeted each and every person as if they were a long lost friend. He only knew friends and never strangers. Ron Putz  was a remarkable man.  First and foremost, he was a man.  In today's culture, that is no small compliment.

I knew Ron for about the last ten years of his life.  Throughout that time I saw him face a number of challenges.  Of course, none was so difficult as his last.  Always, without fail Ron maintained his humor, his dignity, his faith in God.  He accepted that life is good, but not always easy.  He also was not one to complain or ask others to bear his burdens.

I had heard years ago, that Ron was respected by those he supervised at SW Bell.  He was known as a great boss, a fair and considerate man.

Never one to try to impress others, Ron was Ron.  Take him as he came.  I saw him attend a black-tie dinner party wearing his suspenders and a colorful shirt.  He had a ball, danced with Peggy, and added to the the festive energy of the guests.  Of course, more "sophisticated" folks may have easily misread or underestimated Ron because of his laid back unpretentious ways.  And, of course, if they did so, they were wrong.  They also lost out....failing to know and appreciate a genuine human being, with a genuine heart, and genuine talents.

Ron loved cars.  He loved Peggy.  He loved his friends and family.  And he loved the Lord.  I trust today he is in the best of company.  One could look long and far to find a better neighbor, boss, husband, brother, or friend.  In short, here was a man.

I'm sad that Ron's battle is over but then he is now with the Lord and free of pain and illness.  The photo of him doesn't show that wonderful, welcoming smile that he had and shared so openly as a greeter and usher at Oxford UMC.  You are both missed there. My prayers go out to his wife and family. I had the pleasure of working with Ron for seven years at Right-of-Way. He had this "gift" of always making the people around him smile. Every morning he would ask me "how are you today?" I would say "I am good, Ron how are you?" his answer was always "I AM DOING GREAT!" and that would always turn my day around and make me feel better and smile.
No matter how bad our day was going or how much work we had to do he would always make us smile and realize that there are more important things in life than work.
Ron, thank you for being such a wonderful person and for reminding me that family always comes first.

Ron you will be missed.  Over the past few years I have come to know what a good man you are. I could see the Love you carried for your family, your wife, son, daughter, and grandchild.  You are the definition of what a good Father, Husband and member of our community should be.  You are an inspiration to those who knew you and we are all better off for having you in our lives.  I know the Lord has already welcomed you into His arms.
