Ron “Taylor” Taylor, age 74 passed away July 21, 2022 in San Antonio, TX after a year long battle with cancer. He was born in Greenville, TX to Robert & Mary Taylor on May 30, 1948. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed.
Known simply as Taylor, he loved spending time at home with his wife and their 3 dogs. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and watching Jeopardy. He belonged to VFW Post 2059 in Kirby, Tx for over 20 years. He served as the Post Chaplain for several years, and enjoyed the camaraderie of other veterans. After retiring he taught himself how to cook and perfected several gourmet dishes.
Taylor was preceded in death by his parents and brother Steve Taylor.
He is survived by wife Delia Taylor; son, Chris Taylor (Renae); son, Nathan Taylor (Theresa); son, Jeremy Taylor; stepson, Gary Lopez; stepdaughter, Kim (Tom) Williams; brother, Gerald (Amelia) Taylor; sister, Glenna K Taylor-Nickler; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held August 15, 2022 at 1pm at the VFW Post 2059 in Kirby, TX.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project in his name.
