Mr. Talamantes served in U.S. Army during the Vietnam Campaign and received the Vietnam Service Medal with Two Bronze Stars. He loved fishing and was a devout family man. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a very religious man and member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.
He will be reunited in heaven with his parents, Pedro Talamantes and Manuela Torres Talamantes; son, Andrew Talamantes; mother-in-law, Justa Hernandez; siblings, Arturo, Pete, Justo, Yolanda and Beatrice.
His memory will live forever in the heart of his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Talamantes; sons, Rolando and Connie Talamantes Jr. , James and Raquel Talamantes and Andrew and Mercedes Talamantes Jr., grandchildren; Maxine, Joseph, Jessica, Rolando III, Elena; great grandchildren; Bruce, Jason, Jay, Raven; also, numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home at on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. for a 12:00 p.m. Mass of The Resurrection at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1710 Clower St., San Antonio,TX 78201. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio,TX 78209.
